Closed-loop communication configuration typically involves two parts: battery settings and inverter settings.
Using an SRNE inverter paired with a Server Rack battery as an example:
1. Identify the pinout for the communication port on both the inverter and the battery, then select the correct communication cable and connect them.

Pinout on the battery side:
Select the appropriate communication cable
Complete the battery-side setup by referring to "How to Configure Master-Slave Communication for the Battery". Then follow the inverter’s user manual to configure the inverter side (example given for SRNE series inverters).
Q: Inverter shows “Communication Failed”
A: Incorrect inverter settings, wrong wiring, or protocol/pin mismatch. Please verify the inverter configuration, confirm the battery protocol is correct, check all wiring, and cross-reference the manual for pin compatibility.
Q: Multi-battery communication is unstable
A: Absence of a master/slave hierarchy or wiring crosstalk—ensure DIP-switch addresses are correctly set (one master, multiple slaves), use shielded cables, and route the wiring according to best-practice standards.
Q: Communication intermittently drops or fails
A: Environmental interference or aging/damaged cables. Switch to shielded cables, inspect and tighten any loose or oxidized terminals, and check the cable for physical damage.
Closed-loop communication enhances energy-storage efficiency, safety, and enables intelligent control, remote dispatch, and system-wide coordination. For reliable closed-loop operation, we recommend the user use ECO-WORTHY-approved cables and protocols, keep both battery and inverter firmware up to date and prefer pre-validated brand combinations.
