Many homeowners want energy independence, but choosing the right system can feel complicated.Different batteries, inverters, solar panels, and system sizes can make it hard to know where to start.
This page is designed to simplify everything.
With a few quick selections, you can discover the right home energy storage system, get product recommendations, and even receive a custom DIY system plan.
Three Reasons Home Energy Storage Makes Sense Today.
The grid is facing increasing pressure, extreme weather is more frequent, and electricity costs continue to rise over time. A home battery system offers a practical way to gain backup power, improve energy independence, and better manage your long-term energy costs.
Utility rates spike during peak hours — typically 4–9 PM, when your air conditioning is running hardest. Without storage, you pay those peak rates with no choice. With a battery system, you charge during cheap overnight hours or with free solar, then discharge during expensive peak periods.
Power outages are increasingly frequent due to extreme weather and grid instability. We can provides reliable emergency backup—keeping essential appliances running, protecting food, and ensuring critical devices stay powered when the grid goes down, so your home or cabin remains uninterrupted.
Independence doesn't have to mean off-grid. Even staying connected to the grid while powering your home primarily from your own solar-charged batteries puts you in control of your energy, not your utility company.
🌱 Average ECO-WORTHY customer with solar reduces grid dependence by 60–90%. Full off-grid is achievable for most single-family homes

🔹 Off-Grid Sizing Rule of Thumb
Full off-grid living requires careful system design — your solar array must generate enough to cover your daily load AND recharge your batteries before the next night. For an average 2,000 sq ft home, that typically means 8–15kW of solar panels, 30–60kWh of battery storage, and a 10kW+ split-phase inverter.

Solar panels generate DC power during the sun day and send it to the All-in-One inverter. The built-in MPPT controller optimizes the input and efficiently charges the battery while powering your home at the same time. When the battery is full, the system automatically limits excess solar input to protect it. At night or when there is no sunlight, stored energy is discharged from the battery, converted into AC power, and continues to run your home seamlessly.
We know choosing a solar system isn’t easy — especially if you’re new to energy storage or not sure how much power your home actually needs. We’re here to help you choose products that truly fit your home.

The questions every first-time buyer actually has.
How do I know what size system I actually need
Start with your electric bill — look for your monthly kWh usage. Divide by 30 to get daily kWh. Then decide how many days of backup you want. Multiply daily kWh × backup days = your battery size target. For example: 30 kWh/month ÷ 30 days = 1 kWh/day. For 3 days backup: 3 kWh minimum (we recommend 2× that buffer). Our calculator and specialists will fine-tune this for your specific appliances.
Do I need solar panels, or can I just use the battery
No, solar is optional. A battery-only system charges from the grid (ideally overnight at off-peak rates) and discharges during outages or peak hours. This alone saves most customers $30–80/month. Adding solar eliminates charging costs entirely and enables true energy independence. We recommend starting with batteries and adding solar when your budget allows — our systems are designed for exactly this upgrade path.
Is this a DIY install or do I need an electrician
It depends on your confidence level and your state's permitting rules. The battery-to-inverter wiring is genuinely DIY-friendly — we provide detailed manuals, wiring diagrams, and video tutorials. Many customers do everything themselves and hire an electrician only for the panel connection.
Can I run central air conditioner on battery
Yes — with the right inverter. A central AC unit is a 240V load, so you need a split-phase 10kW inverter (which we carry). A 3-ton AC runs at about 3,000–3,500W continuously. On a 20.48kWh battery bank, that's roughly 5–6 hours of AC running time — which is significant during a summer outage. Adding solar panels lets you run AC during the day essentially indefinitely on sunny days. This is why the Whole-Home Backup scenario specifies the 10kW split-phase inverter specifically.

It depends on your confidence level and your state's permitting rules. The battery-to-inverter wiring is genuinely DIY-friendly — we provide detailed manuals, wiring diagrams, and video tutorials. However, connecting the inverter to your main electrical panel requires a licensed electrician in most states (this is true for all battery systems, including Tesla Powerwall). Budget $300–800 for this final hookup. Many customers do everything themselves and hire an electrician only for the panel connection.
